BLS COURSE

All AHA courses offered by the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education utilize a hybrid learning model. Upon registration, learners will be provided with instructions on how to obtain a key code for an online module that will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Learners will also attend a skills testing class where they will be assessed on BLS technical and non-technical skills through objective feedback devices. Skills testing classes are offered at the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education.

Due to current COVID-19 guidelines at NKU, masks are required at all times while indoors. Please remember to bring a mask and wear it when entering the building.

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

This course is intended for select programs and registration for this course is by invitation only. If you are a NKU student enrolled in a health profession program that requires a BLS certification, please register for the BLS for healthcare providers course.
