Class Schedule

AHA Courses only: Registered participants must complete the HeartCode BLS, ACLS, PALS, or Heartsaver online eLearning module from the American Heart Association before attending the hands-on practice/testing session.  These courses can be found by going to http://www.onlineaha.org. Hover over the course drop-down menu at the top of the webpage to purchase your Heartcode eLearning module (excludes UK-COM students).

 

 

This BLS/ACLS combo certification course is intended for the NKU Cardiovascular Perfusion students only. All other students in need of an ACLS or BLS certification should enroll in the ACLS Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support course or BLS Certification Basic Life Support course. 

 BLS COURSE

All AHA courses offered by the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education utilize a hybrid learning model. Upon registration, learners will be provided with a key code for an online AHA module that will take approximately 1 hour to complete. Learners will also attend a skill testing class where they will be assessed on BLS technical and non-technical skills through objective feedback devices.  

ACLS COURSE

All AHA courses offered by the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education utilize a hybrid learning model. Upon registration, learners will be provided with a key code for an online AHA module that will take approximately 4 hours to complete. Learners will also attend a skill testing class where they will be assessed on ACLS technical skills, teamwork, and critical decision making.
