AHA Courses only: Registered participants must complete the HeartCode BLS, ACLS, PALS or Heartsaver online eLearning module from the American Heart Association before attending the hands-on practice/testing session. THE AHA INSTRUCTOR WILL MEET YOU AT THE ENTERANCE TO THE BUILDING TO CONFIRM YOU ARE WEARING A MASK, AND UNLOCK THE DOOR FOR YOU TO ENTER. INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE TO THE COURSE START TIME WILL BE LOCKED OUT OF THE BUILDING.
All AHA courses offered by the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education utilize a hybrid learning model. Upon registration, learners will be provided with instructions on how to obtain a key code for an online module that will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. Learners will also attend a skills testing class where they will be assessed on BLS technical and non-technical skills through objective feedback devices. Skills testing classes are offered at the Northern Kentucky University Center for Simulation Education.
